Our clients at the DUI Squad wanted a fun and attention-grabbing marketing video which not only stood out from the rest of the many DUI lawyer videos out there but also kept the attention of the viewer while they delivered their value proposition.
That’s exactly what we produced for our clients – A lively, colorful, and action-packed Animated Explainer Video which perfectly summed up the selling points of their legal services. Read on to learn more about each step of the production process!

Step 1
Scriptwriting & Brainstorming
The team at the DUI Squad wanted an engaging video that clearly communicated their value proposition, so we had to ensure that from the very first step we created a script for them that did exactly that. The lighthearted-yet-clear tone of the script met the perfect balance between ‘approachable’ and ‘reliable’.
Step 2
Voiceover
To further solidify the clear message in the video, we helped the team at the DUI Squad find the perfect voiceover artists from our catalogue of trusted voice actors. With a huge portfolio of actors from all over the world, we had a huge number of languages and accents to choose from! After initial feedback from the clients, we recorded the final take of the voice track and moved on to the first phase of design.

Step 3
Sketching Phase
The sketching phase is perfect for clients who would like to see a rough idea of the design style we create for their video before we commit too much time to detailed design or animation – this allows for the first round of feedback so we can tweak any designs to the client’s preferences. Here, we designed initial drafts for the lawyer and superhero characters, which we and the clients loved!
Step 4
Style sample
After we implemented feedback from the clients into our designs, we were then able to move on to creating more detailed style samples. This phase allows us to add color, character, and detail to the various design elements, showing their ‘final’ design before we commit them to the animation.

Step 5
Graphic storyboard
To ensure the video plays out in the right order and the client is able to get a ‘feel’ for the video’s narrative, we create a graphic storyboard. This allows the clients to imagine how the clip will move from scene-to-scene, and also which sections of the voice over will accompany each scene too. Once we agreed on the perfect storyboard with the client, we moved on to the final stage!
Step 5
Animation
Now that we had everything we needed, it was time to bring our superheroes to life! This video was incredibly fun to work on and included a number of colorful action-packed characters, including ‘Captain DUI’, a boozy-supervillain and the illustrated versions of the team of DUI lawyers at the DUI Squad. Each scene was connected with comic book-like “POW”s and “BAM”s, reminiscent of classic comic book hero TV shows
