The nPloy Brief
Creating an explainer animation for nPloy was a lot of fun. Not only did they have a great branded color pallet to work with, but also a brand character from their website who was ready and waiting to be brought to life!
This video has a number of fun scenes and storyboard moments, but also clearly outlines the value and functionality of their job-matching platform. To ensure we created the perfect explainer video for this client, we worked with them through several steps in the creation process; read-on to learn more.
The brief from nPloy had a couple of requirements. First, we needed to work with their existing branding, which is great because we love their stylish selection of pastel tones and character! Second, we need to clearly demonstrate the functionality and easy of their job matching app, showing close-up use of an animated smartphone to get the message across.

Step 1
Scriptwriting & Brainstorming
Before design and animation began, we started by working closely with the team at nPloy to ensure the script they created matched the tone and pace of the video. While our clients know their products and services like no one else, we can use our experience to leverage that knowledge and ensure the final script is paced well and engaging to the viewer.
Step 2
Voiceover
Once the script was settled, we moved on to the creation of a clear, friendly voiceover recording. As we work with trusted voiceover artists all over the world, we turned to one of our talented Bulgaria-based artists for this recording, who delivered a fantastic recording that the client was thrilled with!
Step 3
Sketching Phase
Next, we move on to the initial sketch and layout of the video by creating a sketch storyboard.
Step 4
Style sample
The style sample stage allows us to show example designs and styles for the characters and element in the video, and get feedback directly from nPloy before committing each element for final designs
Step 5
Graphic storyboard
Finally, when the style sample and the sketches were approved, we made all the final scenes.
Step 6
Animation
Our experienced team of expert animators add movement to our character and element designs, and ensure scenes featuring close-ups of the nPloy app feel smooth and realistic. The finished product is a clear, attractive animated explainer video that was fun to create, and even more fun to watch.
