With a product or service that utilises modern technology or ideas, an explainer video is an ideal solution. Not only are animated videos fun to watch, but they can clearly communicate the value points of a product by visualising elements while the voiceover describes the application.
That’s what made our animated explainer video service perfect for the team at Neopod, by combining our voiceover and animation services with a clear, relaxed script, we were able to create an engaging video that perfectly summed-up their offering.
The team at Neopod had a number of value points they wanted to cover in their animation, as their smart home lighting systems have a number of benefits. So we needed to work with the team to ensure we covered each value point, and created scenes that accurately visualised their smart lighting systems in action.

Step 1
Scriptwriting & Brainstorming
For this project, we started by working with the team at Neopod to ensure their script was engaging, concise and gave a clear roundup of their offering. This particular script was perfect, because it hit all of these essential points, but still had a cool ‘laid back’ feel.
Step 2
Voiceover
Once Neopod were happy to move forward with the final version of their script, we helped them select a voiceover from our catalogue of talented artists. After trying a couple of tests on tonality and pace, we settled on a fantastic voiceover recording which matched the tone of the script perfectly, and gave us inspiration for the next phase of the video process.

Sketching Phase
Next, we move into design and storyboarding. This was an essential part of the process, as it allowed us to show samples and ideas to the Neopod team, and refine the right design and theme for the video before committing each element for animation.

Animation
During the animation stage, we focus on ensuring moving characters and elements look smooth and natural. Close-up shots of the Neopod App being used to remotely adjust lighting had to look realistic and accurately represent the real-life system, and the Neopod team were thrilled with how the finished product looked. Finally, we sourced some suitable backing music for the Neopod explainer video which captured the tone found in the scripts, voiceovers and design style. The finished product was an engaging and concise video that teams at Neopod and Kashu were thrilled with!
