Step 1
Scriptwriting & Brainstorming
When a new or innovative system is being explained with one of our videos, it’s crucial that we ensure the script is clear and properly explains the functionality and value of the client’s product. In this video, the client wanted a lighthearted and engaging script that communicated their system in a simple way, so we created exactly that!
Step 2
Voiceover
Now that we had settled a clear and lighthearted script, we helped the team at Carescribr select one of our many talented voice actors to read the voiceover for their video. The finished voiceover was suitably clear, but also engaging enough to keep the tone of the video really interesting!
Step 3
Sketching Phase
Now we begin to create the first draft of character and scene designs! We begin with a sketching phase, which allows us to trial different design styles and receive feedback from the clients at an early stage. After making any necessary tweaks, we were able to move on to the next phase.
Step 4
Style sample
Now that we have our initial sketches agreed, we’re then able to create more detailed versions. This includes adding more detail, character, colour and shading to each character and scene to show exactly what they would look like in the ‘finished’ product. Again, we have another opportunity here for client feedback if necessary.
Step 5
Graphic storyboard
Next, it’s time to show how the video will play out and what visuals will be on-screen during certain areas of the script by creating a graphic storyboard. The storyboard shows the order of the scenes and the general narrative of the video and presents another chance for client feedback before we commit the elements to the animation.
Step 6
Animation
inally, it was time to bring the Carescribr project to life! We combine the entire design and audio to create a fluid, moving explainer animation, full of energetic movement to keep the viewer entertained and engaged. This animation featured colourful characters and settings, as well as a close-up animation of the Carescribr system in-use on a tablet!
